How do you keep your hair dry for swimming i have tried a swim cap and it does not work what do i do?

I know all about head bands over swimm caps tried that dont work and i am african american and its harder for me other than the other caucasian people on my team what do i do? I can not quit swim team either my mom is forcing me to stay on whatdo i do iwant it wo be dry because i am loosing hair everyday i come from the pool and i cant and dont have alot f time when i come form swim practice i am so tired!
