Was there any drastic difference between what Our Lord commanded the Apostles?

I ume that you are from a catholic background. It is likely that there was some differences, yes. But is the Gospels in the Bible suppose to be a daily journal of the whole life of Jesus on Earth? What we have in the the Bible is more than enough for me to believe in Jesus. You realise that Jesus is still alive today, right? And that the Holy Spirit still teaches us our doctrines today.
